Birth is an impactful event in the life of a family and a particularly sensitive time for the mother and baby. Early attention to emotional responses supports and enhances the beginning of the bonding process.

*Facilitate connection/bonding between parent and baby

*Learn to read/receive babies’ communication

*Enhance capacity to observe babies’ feelings

*Learn to understand/receive one’s own feelings

(positive and negative)

This method is designed to enhance the capacity of mothers, fathers and others to observe their babies and direct their attention to the meaning of the babies’ communications. This capacity is developed through the presence of the observer-participant and expands the process of bonding.
